What you'll do

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection according to protocols
• prepare patients and collect requested specimens
• perform waived-level testing in applicable areas
• document specimen flow in the laboratory information system
• process specimens and prepare them for dispatch to external labs as needed
• maintain a safe work environment and follow standard precautions
• assist with new employee orientation and training.
