Job overview
Special Procedures Technologist at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio, TX. This is an onsite, full-time position. Compensation is not specified. This role is responsible for diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of blood vessels to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of disease, operating fluoroscopes and filling automatic injectors with contrast media.
What you'll do
- Demonstrates competence in all areas of special procedures: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors and surgical assistance.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, adult patients.
- Ensures efficient workflow in Special Procedures Department.
- Responsible for the proper use of the computer system (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams, capture charges).
- Understands and follows infection control/universal precautions.
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of existing IVs.
