Professional Development Specialist

Job overview

The Professional Development Specialist works onsite in Wichita, KS; compensation is $19 per hour for 20 hours per week, year-round. The role supports Child Start’s work to strengthen early childhood education and help young children thrive. The specialist develops and delivers professional learning and provides follow-up coaching and consultation to educators, child care providers, parents, and caregivers. The work helps promote developmentally appropriate practices and improve learning experiences for young children.

What you'll do

• Provide technical assistance and coaching to child care providers, educators, parents, and caregivers
• offer approved in-service and pre-service professional development
• coordinate data collection requests and manage participant records in the Cape Statewide Data System
• coordinate community education and training with early childhood partners.
