The Tool and Die Mold Maker works onsite at Grayhill’s Iola, WI facility; compensation is $24.21–$41.51 per hour. Grayhill designs and manufactures human-interface solutions, including switches, keypads, joysticks, displays, and control panels. The role fabricates and repairs dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists’ hand tools from specifications. It contributes to manufacturing by machining, fitting, assembling, and verifying tooling and parts, and may support or train apprentices as assigned.

What you'll do

• Review blueprints, sketches, models, and descriptions
• determine materials and machines
• calculate dimensions and plan layouts and assembly sequences
• measure and mark metal stock
• set up and operate machine tools
• verify parts against specifications
• perform bench and assembly work
• create tooling and fixturing
• maintain machines
• recommend design modifications
• develop specifications and sketches for specialty tools
• may lead tooling projects and monitor or train apprentices as assigned.
