What you'll do

• Complete preventive maintenance on production equipment using diagrams, manuals, and specifications
• troubleshoot malfunctions
• locate equipment problems using observation and measuring instruments
• dismantle equipment and replace defective parts
• inspect parts and determine dimensional requirements
• perform directed maintenance to control downtime
• fabricate and repair parts using machine-shop equipment such as mills and lathes
• check equipment and supply inventories
• prepare maintenance reports
• document and communicate work needs
• comply with safety procedures
• program and troubleshoot equipment using PLC.
