Preschool Lead Teacher

The Preschool Lead Teacher role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Pay is $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The teacher supports The Learning Experience–Cascade’s early childhood classroom and curriculum. The role leads an organized, engaging preschool classroom and supports children’s academic, social-emotional, communication, and independence skills. It also guides assistant teachers, documents children’s development, and builds positive communication with families while maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom.

What you'll do

• Lead and organize a preschool classroom
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• support early literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development
• create hands-on learning experiences
• encourage problem-solving, independence, communication, and collaboration
• use positive guidance and classroom management
• document children’s progress
• support assistant teachers
• communicate with families
• maintain a safe classroom and follow Michigan licensing and center requirements.
