The Zone Lead, 1st Shift is an onsite role in Waukegan, IL. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, with eligibility for an annual bonus under the incentive program. The role supports Woodland Gourmet’s Production department and its food production lines. The Zone Lead coordinates employees and product handling on assigned lines to support efficient production while meeting quality and food safety standards. The position also helps maintain safe equipment operation, accurate production records, and effective coordination with supervisors and scheduling teams.

What you'll do

• Lead Tier 1 huddles and coordinate daily production-line activities
• guide employees to meet start times, order processing, and production schedules
• set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment
• manage product and packaging materials
• train operators and associates
• complete production, attendance, quality, and HACCP reports
• verify finished goods against SOPs
• prioritize orders against shipping and production schedules
• communicate safety, staffing, and efficiency issues
• conduct allergen and line changeovers
• update Performance Boards hourly
• and support shift handoffs.
