The Systems Administrator role is onsite in North Charleston, SC. Compensation is not specified. George Consulting provides engineering, information technology, and cybersecurity services to Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security customers; this position supports the TacMobile program and related P-3, P-8, and Global Command and Control System interfaces. The administrator supports secure, functional system builds and systems engineering efforts in classified, unclassified, and operational environments. The role contributes to system availability and compliance by installing and testing releases, maintaining operating system baselines, supporting network security, and documenting results for the team and government customer.

What you'll do

• Support installation, configuration, and testing of software releases
• deliver test reports
• develop, maintain, and unit test code
• create and maintain compliant system builds
• support network monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance
• maintain Windows information assurance compliance and baselines
• provide reporting data
• advise on ACAS and related tools
• develop test procedures and user documentation
• train team members and Navy personnel
• collaborate with teammates and customers
• travel as required, estimated at no more than 25%.

Why this role

An active Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required. The posting requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of Windows operating system and information assurance compliance experience; Security+ is preferred and required within six months of start.
