Job overview

The Cook Supervisor role is onsite in Boise, ID, with compensation of $22.17 per hour. Lifeways’ dietary services team prepares meals based on patient dietary requirements. The supervisor manages day-to-day kitchen operations and meal preparation, coordinating menus, food purchasing, inventory, food quality, and service. The role also directs other cooks and helps ensure meals meet quality, quantity, and dietary needs.

What you'll do

• Work with the Director of Dietary Services to determine food quantities and types for daily menus based on patient dietary requirements
• oversee food purchasing and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality
• monitor food temperatures, rotation, and storage
• verify prepared food meets quality, quantity, and dietary requirements
• assist with food preparation, cooking, and service
• record supply usage
• supervise and direct other cooks.
