Plastic Injection Molding Setup Technician

The Plastic Injection Molding Setup Technician role is onsite in Sparta, WI, on first shift, Monday–Thursday, 6 a.m.–4 p.m., with overtime as needed; compensation is $26–$30 per hour based on experience. The technician joins a manufacturing team through Express Employment Professionals. The technician sets up molds and machines, starts production, adjusts processes, and troubleshoots equipment to establish stable, quality production runs. The role supports production operators and works with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Production to reduce downtime, scrap, and recurring issues.

What you'll do

• Perform mold changes and set up Niigata and Toyo machines
• install molds and connect required systems
• set and verify machine parameters and auxiliary equipment
• start and purge machines as needed
• adjust processes and verify sample quality
• monitor production and document settings
• troubleshoot machines, molds, materials, and equipment
• support operators and collaborate to resolve recurring problems.
