The dietitian assesses nutrition needs, counsels residents and families, monitors weight changes, and collaborates with the care team on nutrition-risk interventions. The role also supports menu development, food safety, sanitation, and documentation so nutrition care is coordinated with residents’ broader care plans.

What you'll do

• Provide diet instruction and counseling to residents and families
• monitor weight changes and determine interventions for residents at nutrition risk
• hold Nutrition at Risk meetings with the care team
• support menu development and approve appropriate substitutions
• follow resident assessment, care plan, and charting requirements
• plan meals and update systems and paperwork
• monitor sanitation compliance and complete dining services checklists
• maintain food storage, handling, and temperature logs
• support kitchen safety and disaster preparedness
• analyze patient data to determine needs or treatment goals.

Why this role
