What you'll do
- Operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient, and safe manner. The ultrasound technologist must be able to think and act independently and assess emergency situations accurately. Good oral and written communication skills are required. The Ultrasound Technologist may be required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System. Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. Depending on the needs of the specific department, the Ultrasound Technologist may routinely work in additional ARDMS specialty certifications. This includes but is not limited to
- Abdomen (AB), Vascular (RVT), Breast (BR), Fetal Echo (FE), Neurosonology (NE), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Pediatric Sonography (PS).

- 12 months previous experience in ultrasound
