Long-Distance Driver

The Long-Distance Driver is an onsite, full-time role based in Fort Payne, AL. Compensation is not specified. Bulk Express Transport moves waste and other materials between customer sites, transfer stations, landfills, and other destinations, including long-haul routes that may require overnight travel. The driver safely operates a commercial tractor-trailer and completes timely, damage-free deliveries while meeting customer requirements and DOT/FMCSA and company safety standards.

What you'll do

• Operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT/FMCSA rules and traffic laws
• complete vehicle inspections and reports
• record hours of service using an electronic logging device
• pick up and deliver loads according to dispatch
• secure and tarp loads
• complete shipping documents
• follow site rules and PPE requirements
• maintain the truck
• report incidents and participate in safety training.

Why this role
