Registered Dental Hygienist

What you'll do

• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable
• discuss dental care plans and answer questions
• prepare sterilized equipment
• record medical histories
• evaluate patients for gum disease, cavities, and infection
• remove plaque and apply fluoride
• teach oral hygiene techniques
• take X-rays
• assist the dentist during exams and procedures
• follow health, safety, and office policies.
