Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

Family Central’s Jump Start Program provides early childhood mental health consultation intended to support children’s emotional development and mental health. The consultant works with early learning sites, staff, teachers, children, and families to assess needs and develop consultation plans. The role supports evidence-based classroom and social-emotional strategies, connects families with additional services, and contributes to program quality and positive outcomes.

What you'll do

• Provide consultation and support to early learning programs
• build partnerships with site staff and teachers
• assess sites and develop consultation plans
• provide program-, classroom-, and child/family-level consultation
• support staff and parents with evidence-based strategies
• complete documentation
• make referrals
• attend supervision and training
• support quality improvement and accreditation activities
• advocate for clients.
