Registered Dietitian – Meals on Wheels

The Registered Dietitian – Meals on Wheels role may be performed remotely, with an option to work onsite at the Meals on Wheels Central Kitchen in Richland, WA. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour. Generational Care’s programs support independence, health, and well-being in the community. The dietitian supports the nutritional health of older adults by planning and reviewing menus, providing nutrition education, and coordinating dietary modifications for home-delivered meal clients. The role works with the Meals on Wheels Director and service coordinators to meet program standards and individual nutrition needs.

What you'll do

• Develop, review, and approve regular, modified, low-sodium, culturally appropriate, and special-diet menus
• ensure menus meet nutritional, contract, federal, and Washington State program requirements
• develop or approve nutrition education materials and sessions
• coordinate dietary needs with service coordinators
• provide individual consultations and referrals as requested
• maintain nutrition documentation and reports
• coordinate with state health agencies
• maintain confidentiality
• travel occasionally to supported sites in Benton and Franklin Counties as required.

Why this role

Part-time, minimum four hours per week. A contract arrangement may also be considered. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed; occasional travel to supported sites may be required.
