Crop Protection Field Development Intern

Job overview

The Crop Protection Field Development Intern role is onsite in Jackson, MS, with an estimated duration from May through August 2027. Compensation is $20–$45 per hour. The intern supports Syngenta’s Product Biology Team and its work developing crop protection products and technologies to support agriculture and food security. The intern gains hands-on experience with field development activities and applies academic knowledge to real-world product development challenges. The role supports trials, data capture, and a guided project, while building understanding of how field development connects with sales, marketing, and agronomy.

What you'll do

• Support crop protection field development activities, including trial implementation, maintenance, and data capture in field, greenhouse, or laboratory settings
• manage a project under the guidance of field development scientists
• learn product development processes
• identify personal development opportunities
• prepare and deliver an internship summary presentation
• participate in monthly performance discussions.
