Culinary Student Extern

Job overview

The Culinary Student Extern role is onsite in Washington, VA, and pays $14 per hour. The Inn at Little Washington and Patty O’s Bakery and Café offer culinary externships for enrolled students from accredited institutions. The externship provides guided kitchen experience to develop culinary skills and familiarity with professional kitchen standards. Externs assist with preparation and service tasks, with responsibilities and station opportunities based on their capabilities and performance.

What you'll do

• Complete daily prep as directed
• assist with organization and receiving
• prepare juice and cold-side breakfast items
• set up and break down stations
• follow recipes
• assist with employee meals
• maintain kitchen sanitation
• and, as assigned and based on performance, work with other culinary stations or the banquet team.
