The Part-Time Assistant Teacher / Floater role is onsite in Kansas City, MO. Compensation is $14–$16 per hour. The Learning Experience describes its mission as making a difference in the lives of children, families, and communities. The assistant teacher partners with classroom teachers to create a welcoming, safe learning environment and supports infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children using the L.E.A.P. Curriculum. The role contributes to children’s learning and development while communicating with families and supporting center goals.

What you'll do

• Partner with classroom teachers to create an engaging classroom
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children according to their needs
• provide a safe, nurturing environment
• communicate children’s activities and achievements to parents
• partner with center staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement goals
• build relationships with families and coworkers.
