What you'll do
- Coordinate new admissions and readmissions
- arrange pre-admission assessments with the interdisciplinary team
- evaluate incoming residents and review medical histories, medications, and orders
- develop initial care plans
- complete admission and regulatory documentation and update the electronic health record
- orient residents and families
- coordinate with facility staff and external providers
- monitor the admissions process
- perform nursing supervisor or bedside nursing duties when needed
- participate in the manager-on-duty rotation.
