The Low Income Housing Institute develops and manages affordable housing and supportive communities. The janitor maintains common areas and grounds, performs light maintenance, prepares units, and responds to cleaning or maintenance needs. The role also inspects the property for damage and safety concerns, maintains supplies, and documents non-routine work.

What you'll do

• Perform routine janitorial and light maintenance work in common areas and grounds
• remove garbage and weed
• replace locks and light bulbs
• perform minor carpentry and painting
• respond to cleaning or light-maintenance emergencies
• inspect the building for graffiti, damage, lighting issues, and safety hazards
• maintain supplies
• prepare units
• complete work orders and document repairs.
