What you'll do

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelter, laundry, food, and common areas
• operate the front desk, check visitors in and out, answer phones, and monitor security systems as applicable
• monitor access areas and enforce shelter rules
• assist with food service, cleaning, mail sorting, and daily schedules
• record significant events
• respond to emergencies
• interact respectfully with clients
• assist supportive-services staff
• and use de-escalation techniques when needed.

Why this role

Human-services experience, preferably with homeless families, is requested. A BA or MHT degree in social or behavioral sciences is preferred, or related work experience. Experience with mental illness or chemical dependency is preferred.
