The Structural Engineer role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Compensation is not specified. The engineer performs structural analysis and design, prepares construction documents, assesses existing structures, and provides construction administration. The role contributes to project delivery by coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, reviewing technical work, mentoring engineers and interns, and managing tasks to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

What you'll do

• Perform structural analysis and design for industrial, commercial, municipal, marine, institutional, residential, and energy projects
• prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and other deliverables
• ensure code compliance
• assess existing structures and prepare reports
• provide construction administration, including submittal reviews and site visits
• coordinate with clients and design disciplines
• conduct peer reviews
• mentor engineers and interns
• manage project tasks.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural focus, a Professional Engineer license, and eight or more years of structural design experience. Structural Engineer certification is strongly preferred.
