The Planner/Estimator – Marine Ship Repair is an onsite, full-time, non-exempt position in Pearl City, HI, paying $30–$35 per hour. The role reports to the Hawaii Area Manager and supports that manager and other managers with estimates, proposals, and planning documents for Technical Services Hawaii. The position develops labor and material estimates for ship and craft repairs and alterations by reviewing specifications, engineering drawings, and NAVSEA standard items. It also supports proposal preparation by incorporating safety and quality requirements and conducting ship checks under applicable safety rules.

What you'll do

• Prepare estimates, proposals, and planning documents
• estimate labor and materials for ship and craft repairs and alterations, including equipment removal and installation
• review work specifications, engineering drawings, and NAVSEA standard items
• include safety and quality requirements in estimates
• conduct ship checks aboard ships under industrial repair conditions while following safety regulations
• perform other duties as assigned by the Hawaii Area Manager.
