Sous Chef

Job overview

The Sous Chef role is onsite in Mason, OH, with a full-time schedule whose days and hours may vary. Pay is $21–$24 per hour. The sous chef helps the Executive Chef prepare and cook food and coordinates food-service associates. The role supports timely production, food safety, sanitation, inventory control, and customer service, and assumes responsibility for kitchen associates when the Executive Chef is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to approved recipes and production standards
• supervise hourly food-service associates, including scheduling, training, and coaching
• store and handle food safely
• maintain food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
• clean equipment and work areas
• respond to customer complaints
• explain menu items
• monitor inventory, deliveries, production, consumption, and waste.
