CNC Horizontal Setup Machinist

The CNC Horizontal Setup Machinist role is onsite in Fremont, CA. Pay is $40 per hour. South Bay Solutions is a high-precision machine shop producing parts for semiconductor, medical-device, and advanced-technology hardware customers. The machinist sets up and operates production machinery to meet print and specification requirements. The role supports reliable production and quality craftsmanship by troubleshooting equipment and tooling, documenting processes, and inspecting finished parts.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC machinery using drawings, specifications, and instructions
• document machine processes and improvements
• maintain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment
• perform general shop maintenance and cleanup
• troubleshoot tooling, materials, programs, equipment, and part specifications
• identify and recommend specification changes to improve machinability
• inspect parts using inspection tools.

Why this role

Minimum five years of horizontal mill setup experience; Matsuura or FANUC Controls experience preferred; machining certification or completion of a full apprenticeship program required; Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:35 p.m.
