Laser Machine Operator — Second Shift

The Laser Machine Operator — Second Shift role is onsite in Fargo, ND. The regular schedule is 4 p.m.–2:30 a.m. Monday–Thursday, with overtime available Fridays; training is on first shift for 3–4 weeks, 5:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday–Thursday. Compensation is $23–$27 per hour plus a $2 shift differential. The role supports Owen Industries’ production operations. The operator runs and maintains laser-related equipment, completes job and inspection paperwork, and troubleshoots production issues. The work supports safe, accurate production and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Check and replace filters and cylinders as needed
• complete job check sheets and inspection forms
• empty slag trays and dust barrels
• clean the work area
• complete paperwork accurately
• communicate shift handoffs
• assist other operators
• maintain tools and report problems to the laser supervisor
• troubleshoot production issues
• identify material types and grades
• promote safety and continuous improvement.
