Job overview

The Software Engineer, Customer Solutions role is onsite in Portland, OR, with a standard Monday–Friday day shift. Pay is $100,000–$115,000 per year. The engineer works in Sightline Intelligence’s Support Engineering department. The engineer investigates complex customer problems and adapts solutions so Sightline products work in customer applications. The role resolves issues within Support when possible and provides technically complete findings to Product and Engineering when product changes are needed.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve customer issues involving software, code, APIs, cameras, sensors, video pipelines, algorithms, communications, and development environments
• reproduce behavior, analyze diagnostics, and communicate resolutions
• develop and test customer-specific code, integrations, utilities, scripts, and configurations
• provide implementation guidance
• create reusable diagnostic tools, examples, and documentation
• support approved Engineering Services engagements
• share findings and customer trends with Product and Engineering.
