Advanced Choir Added-Duty Coordinator

The Advanced Choir Added-Duty Coordinator role is onsite in Barrow, AK. Compensation is determined by negotiated agreement and may be prorated based on completion of responsibilities. The role supports North Slope Borough School District choir participants and includes student welfare, rehearsals, performances, and trip-related duties. The coordinator supervises choir rehearsals, supports student participation and safe travel home, and organizes performances and fundraising. The role also handles required communications, safety procedures, training, and Disney trip responsibilities to support students and the choir program.

What you'll do

• Communicate with participants, parents, and administrators
• follow safety procedures and district and activity policies
• review coaches’ and parent and student handbooks annually
• prioritize student welfare
• complete mandatory training by the first contract day
• follow Disney trip requirements
• produce and perform one spring and one fall concert/performance
• supervise choir rehearsals via Zoom every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.
• monitor behavior and participation, help students connect to rehearsals, and ensure they get home safely
• chaperone the Disney trip
• attend scheduled mandatory meetings
• organize two village fundraisers and may organize additional local fundraisers.
