Field Technician

Job overview

The Field Technician role is based in Waynesboro, VA, with regular travel to members’ homes. Compensation is paid per trip, not hourly: $32 for 0–25 miles, $48.50 for 25.1–40 miles, $72 for 40.1–75 miles, and $90 for 75.1 miles or more, based on one-way mileage regardless of installation outcome. MedScope supports personal emergency response system users so they can remain safe and independent at home. The technician coordinates appointments, delivers and installs personal emergency response equipment, tests devices, and teaches clients and caregivers how to use and maintain them. Accurate records and coordination with support teams help provide dependable service to members.

What you'll do

• Coordinate appointments with clients
• deliver, set up, and test personal emergency response equipment in clients’ homes
• educate clients and caregivers on device use, features, and maintenance
• troubleshoot installation issues
• record installations, service calls, and client interactions
• collaborate with member support and installer coordinators
• obtain required signatures
• follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
