Composites Technician Lead

The Composites Technician Lead role is onsite in Hollywood, MD, with compensation of $38–$47 per hour. The role supports Platform Aerospace’s Fabrication Department, producing and repairing aircraft structures and components. This lead contributes to safe, high-quality production by performing advanced composite work and coordinating daily workflow. The role also guides and trains technicians, works with engineering and quality partners to resolve production issues, and supports continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Lead composite fabrication and repair, including lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, finishing, and repair of aircraft structures and components. Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks, and provide technical guidance. Follow engineering drawings and approved procedures
• inspect assemblies, address authorized corrective actions, and prepare work for Quality Assurance review. Train and mentor technicians, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program teams, and support safety and process improvements.

Why this role

Requires 7+ years of relevant experience, aerospace or similar composites experience, and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a DOT physical and haul trailers to offsite locations.
