The Level B Fleet Mechanic/Technician is responsible for independent diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on refuse trucks, heavy trucks/tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment, while also mentoring Level C technicians and supporting road calls.

What you'll do

• Independently diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrain components, air and hydraulic brake systems, ABS, suspension components, hydraulic systems on refuse equipment, and electrical systems.
• Perform and sign off on DOT-compliant inspections and PMs.
• Accurately interpret and close out DVIR/eDVIR defects.
• Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software, service bulletins, and wiring schematics.
• Respond to road calls and breakdowns.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, and drivers.
• Guide and mentor Level C technicians.
• Complete work orders thoroughly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
