Medical Respite Caregiver

The Medical Respite Caregiver role is onsite in Oregon City, OR, with compensation of $22 per hour. Father Heart Street Ministry provides a supportive home setting for guests experiencing homelessness or housing instability while recovering from medical needs. The caregiver supports guests’ recovery and independence through daily living assistance, wellness checks, care-plan follow-through, appointment support, and communication with care coordination and medical teams. The role also helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.

What you'll do

• Assist with meals, hydration, hygiene, mobility, laundry, and rest
• complete wellness checks and report changes
• follow care plans and respite procedures
• support medical appointments and follow-up care
• communicate updates to the Care Coordination Team
• maintain a clean and safe environment
• respond appropriately to emergencies
• document daily care and provide shift handoffs.
