The Cook role is onsite in Manchester, NH, part-time, Tuesday–Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The posting lists pay of $20. Families in Transition works to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness through housing and related services. The cook plans and prepares healthy meals for agency residents and supports daily meal service. The role maintains food safety, sanitation, inventory, and kitchen operations while providing courteous service to residents and directing volunteers as needed.

What you'll do

• Plan and prepare meals
• serve residents
• follow food safety, sanitation, nutritional, and agency procedures
• receive deliveries, reconcile invoices, rotate and store inventory
• record refrigeration and sanitation checks
• operate and clean food-service equipment
• maintain kitchen and stockroom cleanliness
• report safety or sanitation concerns
• direct volunteers as needed
• lead the kitchen when the Chef is absent.
