What you'll do

• Set up and operate machines independently
• use Vericut or similar software to simulate tool paths
• meet production and scrap-rate plans
• work with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and MAPPS
• verify first-piece parts against prints and inspection plans
• recommend process improvements with Engineering
• troubleshoot machine issues
• document shift handoffs
• collaborate on quotes and process development
• inspect products and document results
• use CMM, hard-check, and SPC data
• perform minor maintenance
• mentor apprentices and other machinists.
