The Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician is an onsite field role based in Kenner, LA, serving Greater New Orleans and the Northshore. The stated salary is $106,000–$123,000 per year. Mechanical HVAC Solutions is a locally operated commercial mechanical contractor serving hospitals, healthcare facilities, government buildings, offices, and other commercial and institutional properties. The technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains commercial HVAC systems to support reliable building operations for customers. The role handles service independently in occupied facilities, documents completed work, and escalates issues when additional support is needed; it also participates in an on-call rotation of approximately one week per month.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain light-to-medium commercial HVAC systems
• perform preventive maintenance and corrective service
• troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and equipment sequences
• service air-handling units, rooftop units, chilled-water systems, pumps, cooling towers, VAV systems, and VFDs
• address airflow, temperature, humidity, exhaust, ventilation, and pressure-control issues
• communicate with customers and facility personnel
• document work and escalate issues
• report from home to assigned customer sites
• and participate in the on-call rotation.
