The role leads a 24/7 value stream for Novolex’s food-grade plastics operation, supporting customer expectations across safety, quality, delivery, people, and cost. The leader translates strategy into production execution, develops teams, and monitors operational performance. Through resource planning, quality problem-solving, and continuous improvement, the role helps sustain reliable output and improve productivity and process capability.

What you'll do

• Lead safety, production execution, and performance across assigned departments, product lines, or profit centers
• supervise up to 150+ salaried and hourly team members
• monitor efficiency, downtime, throughput, labor utilization, scrap, and schedule attainment
• align staffing, equipment, materials, and methods
• serve as cross-trained backup to the Plant Manager
• hire, onboard, train, and develop employees
• ensure conformance to customer specifications, GMPs, and internal standards
• investigate and correct quality issues
• lead Lean/Kaizen projects
• manage labor, scrap, productivity, overtime, and material usage
• provide reporting and insights.
