Lead Medical Technologist — Mixed Shifts

The Lead Medical Technologist is an onsite, full-time contract position in Bradenton, FL, with mixed shifts of 7–10 hours. Pay is $30.34–$42.47 per hour, based on experience. The role supports laboratory operations and departmental goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and patient satisfaction. The technologist performs routine and STAT testing across laboratory disciplines, applying independent judgment to produce timely, accurate results. The lead also serves as a laboratory contact during assigned evening or night shifts and coordinates with the facility trauma team and other departments.

What you'll do

• Perform routine and STAT clinical laboratory testing, including Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology
• follow procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
• maintain licensure and competency
• perform specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as required
• serve as a primary laboratory contact for the facility trauma team during assigned shifts
• coordinate with other departments.

Why this role

Requires an active Florida Medical Technologist license and an associate degree in science or a related field. Three to five years of medical laboratory experience is required; a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology is preferred. Mixed shifts are 7–10 hours.
