Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager role is onsite in Elgin, IL, with a stated salary range of $75,000–$85,000 per year. The role focuses on expanding commercial business for landscape maintenance, snow removal, and ice control services. The manager develops new customer opportunities, builds client relationships, and advances sales from prospecting through signed agreements and handoff to account managers. The role supports revenue and market-share growth through research, pipeline management, proposals, bidding, and coordination with marketing, operations, and general managers.

What you'll do

• Acquire new commercial customers in assigned geography
• research pricing, competitors, clients, prospects, and industry trends
• coordinate sales tools with Marketing
• create and execute a strategic sales plan
• generate and qualify leads using tools including ZoomInfo and CoStar
• record prospecting activity in Salesforce
• analyze RFPs and assist with bid presentations
• partner with General Managers on job costing and bids
• transition signed customers to account managers
• support upselling, weekly pipeline reporting, client communication, customer feedback follow-up, and expense control.
