Senior Project Accountant — Construction

The Senior Project Accountant works onsite in Kent, WA. The base salary is $105,000–$110,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus a discretionary bonus. The role joins the accounting team of a growing construction services firm serving the Pacific Northwest. The accountant partners with project managers, operations, and finance leadership to oversee project financial performance from inception through closeout, supporting accurate reporting, forecasting, cost control, and project profitability.

What you'll do

• Manage financial accounting for multiple construction projects
• prepare and review monthly WIP schedules and profitability analyses
• monitor costs, budgets, billings, and revenue recognition
• review forecasts, change orders, job costs, and performance with project managers
• process owner billings and subcontractor pay applications
• reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• support month-end and year-end close
• review committed costs and subcontract agreements
• prepare leadership reports
• support audits
• improve processes
• mentor junior project accountants.
