Medical Technician

Job overview

The Medical Technician role is onsite in Joplin, MO. Pay is $17–$20 per hour. The position supports patient care at an established family medicine and wellness clinic. The technician combines administrative and clinical support to help providers deliver patient care. The role rooms patients, records clinical information, assists with procedures and testing, and maintains accurate records and supplies.

What you'll do

• Answer patient and partner calls
• room patients and conduct pre-visit assessments
• verify medical histories and medication lists
• route digital files
• process medication refills
• complete pre-certifications and prior authorizations
• record vitals
• assist with or perform listed procedures and tests
• draw blood and administer vaccines/injections
• document procedures
• assist providers and maintain medical-supply inventory.
