The Residential Counselor – Project Six role is onsite in Van Nuys, CA, with pay of $21 per hour and a $2,500 sign-on bonus available. Help Group’s Project Six provides a structured residential program for adolescents ages 12–20 who need intensive support with emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. The counselor helps residents work toward treatment and educational goals by building social, emotional, coping, and independent-living skills. Through daily routines, activities, behavioral support, and community participation, the role contributes to a safe therapeutic environment and residents’ preparation for home, school, and community life.

What you'll do

• Facilitate individual and group activities that support treatment goals and personal growth
• help adolescents develop social, emotional, and independent-living skills
• provide structure and positive behavioral support
• foster a safe therapeutic living environment
• encourage community participation
• support healthy coping strategies
• assist with routines, check-ins, groups, homework, meals, chores, outings, and recreational activities
• help residents navigate behavioral, emotional, and interpersonal challenges.
