Business Development Manager – Special Projects

The Business Development Manager – Special Projects role is onsite in Dulles, VA, with annual compensation of $148,169–$181,095. The role supports growth of Southland Industries’ Special Projects business in the DMV region. The manager leads the Business Development Lead team and drives expansion by identifying opportunities, developing customer relationships, and coordinating pursuit and proposal work with operations, estimating, service sales, and executive leadership. Occasional travel may be required for regional customer and business development activities.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute Special Projects growth strategies in the DMV market, including Baltimore and Richmond as needed
• identify key accounts and opportunities
• maintain customer relationships
• lead and develop the Business Development Lead team
• coordinate opportunity qualification and proposal development
• ensure estimating workflows and cost reviews are completed
• align with Service Sales
• present at business and industry forums and government boards.
