The Registered Nurse, Admissions role is onsite in Roxbury, MA, with compensation of $50–$55 per hour. The schedule is full-time, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The nurse supports admissions to Acute Treatment Services and the unit’s clinical operations. The nurse manages admission assessments, determines medical appropriateness in collaboration with the care team, and coordinates safe patient placement. The role also provides ongoing nursing care, monitors withdrawal symptoms and medical complications, and maintains clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Complete nursing admission assessments
• review referrals and hospital charts
• collaborate on acceptance decisions
• obtain medical histories and reconcile medications
• complete withdrawal assessments and vital signs
• document in the electronic medical record
• administer medications as ordered
• monitor patients and notify providers of changes
• respond to emergencies
• perform ordered nursing procedures and basic wound care
• maintain infection prevention and controlled-substance accountability.
