Bilingual Direct Care Staff – Spanish/Haitian Creole, First/Second Shift and Relief

The Bilingual Direct Care Staff role is onsite in Newton, MA, with first-shift, second-shift, and relief schedule options. Starting compensation is $22 per hour. FamilyAid works to prevent and address family homelessness and support families’ transition to stable housing. The role exists to provide direct care and essential services to families temporarily living in the program. Staff help maintain a safe, respectful environment, respond to crises using trauma-informed approaches, and support families’ well-being and transition to permanent housing.

What you'll do

• Support families living temporarily in the program
• help ensure comfort, safety, and compliance with program rules
• monitor shared areas and family units
• respond to client crises and follow incident-reporting and child-safety protocols
• use person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches.
