The Home Health Nurse (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) role is onsite at patients’ residences in Belen, NM, with stated rates up to $35 per hour for LPNs and up to $55 per hour for RNs, based on experience. Giving Home Health Care supports people affected by health conditions related to work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The nurse provides one-on-one care under physician-established plans, monitors patient condition, and coordinates with families, physicians, case managers, and care staff. The role also includes patient and family education and supervision of nursing assistants and personal care attendants.

What you'll do

• Execute physician-prescribed care plans
• document care
• administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
• assess patients and coordinate care
• monitor vital signs, intake and output, skin integrity, wounds, and changes in condition
• communicate with families and care partners
• educate patients, families, and home health aides
• collaborate with and supervise nursing assistants and personal care attendants.
