Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professional (DSP) is an onsite, part-time role in Cicero, IN, paying $16 per hour. Empowered Abilities provides person-centered disability services to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive in their communities. The DSP provides personalized daily-living support while promoting each client’s independence, dignity, and self-advocacy, and follows individualized support plans to help clients work toward their goals.

What you'll do

• Provide direct care and daily-living support
• assist with hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and other activities of daily living
• implement individualized support plans and document progress
• accompany clients to community activities, appointments, and social events
• administer medications and monitor health conditions according to care plans
• communicate with supervisors, families, and care team members.
