Bidding and Estimating Specialist

The Bidding and Estimating Specialist role is a telework position based in Orem, UT, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $21–$24 per hour. Mountainland Supply’s role supports commercial and residential irrigation projects and revenue growth through competitive bids. The specialist develops designs and estimates from project specifications, performs take-offs, evaluates material and labor needs, and assesses feasibility based on cost, timing, and technical factors. The role coordinates bids with sales representatives, vendors, and customers and prepares itemized proposals and estimates.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service
• promote products and services through competitive bids
• create designs from verbal or written instructions
• prepare take-offs and quotes for commercial and residential irrigation projects
• interpret designs
• determine material and labor requirements
• assess feasibility based on cost, time, and technical and economic factors
• prepare preliminary and detailed estimates
• consult with clients and vendors
• coordinate bid processes and results with the sales team.
