What you'll do

• Perform blood draws and other specimen collection as required
• label, centrifuge, split, freeze, store, and package specimens according to test orders and transport protocols
• match requisitions to specimen tubes and verify information
• explain venipuncture and collection procedures courteously
• record maintenance data and decontaminate equipment
• update patient information
• comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
• answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
