What you'll do

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• perform material quantity takeoffs and labor estimates
• request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
• prepare cost estimates, bid summaries, and proposals
• maintain estimating spreadsheets, databases, and historical cost records
• coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and purchasing
• identify risks, clarifications, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
• make occasional shop or project-site visits.
